One-derful One!

I am not technically done blogging from the holidays, but I just had to post these pictures of my sweet baby Ruthie. She turned one on January 13th. At the doctor's they said she was:

Weight 19 lb 4 oz  20% (she doesn't look skinny to me, she just feels lighter than my boys were)
Length 30 inches  75%
Head 17.5 inches  25% (whew! no giant head like the boys either :o)

One-derful Ruth Anne!
Sweet baby girl

We celebrated with her first pony tail. Well it's more like a sprout at this point.

Dad 'helping' her take her birthday bite

For all you eligible one year old boys out there, Ruthie likes to flip through books, be read to, play cars with her brothers, climb on things, baby sign, smile, be tickled with my chin or nose, eat fruit and sweets, and just toddle around the apartment looking for interesting things to get into. Best. Baby. Ever.

Snow Bunnies

So Ruthie's not at her best when she is cold. (And mom and dad put her shoes on wrong!) Can't expect perfect.

Gracie the Snow Dog! The boys miss Gracie. As mom would say,
"Every boy needs a dog."

"Sandwich" I did this as the bottom piece of bread a bunch of times with the boys, but then I wanted to take a picture.  It's just as fun as it looks.

Enjoying the snow now, just in case next year we are some where that doesn't get any snow.  (Is it possible I'm still blogging from Christmas? Yes, yes it is. That is what happens when you come home and download hundreds of photos)

Bathing Booties

One Beauty, two booties. Very cute little booties. Rutie LOVES to takes baths and will move up and down when it is time to take a bath. (It's not quite a jump) She will also do the bath sign and lay right down when I say 'lay down' to get ready for the tub.  Mac likes them too but it is not quite so novel for him. David is sad that there isn't enough room for him too in the tub but, alas, there is not. He is pretty big for four years old but he still feels like he is missing out on the bathtub fun since you can't play with toys in the shower.  When we were at Zach's parent's house he got to take a few baths with the little ones since the tub was bigger. They stay so long their hands get pruney.

"Prune-y hands!"

Cozy

If I were still recommending books on this blog, I would recommend the one Zach is reading-

How Will You Measure Your Life, by Clayton C. Christensen. I also read it, and it was very good.

Don't they just look thrilled to have us cuddle up in their bed with them?
Until next time mom and dad- don't miss us too much.
