Grandma and Grandpa Barry

This is Grandma and Grandpa Barry. The thing that our three older boys liked the most about vising them was each getting to go on a 'date' to Burger King and the dollar tree. When you are under 5 feet tall this is a very special occasion. Hopefully we can arrange something similar this summer when Grandma and Grandpa Barry come out for Gabe's baptism. Wish you guys were closer.

Double Trouble

Four weeks difference and 50% bigger (Julianna is 10 lb at 3 months, Lincoln is 15 lb 11 oz at 4 months) Zach's right wrist got sore after holding the both of them for 25 minutes but his left arm never really registered an occupant. Lincoln is a sturdy stump compared to Julianna's delicate flower. Give me fat and happy any day though, more to love!

Welcome Spring

Even when it is winter out side I always have spring indoors. Ruthie just loves her "bee dress" she got from Mimi.

Family Picture With Grandpa

On Saturday our family flew back from North Carolina after an 11 day extended spring vacation and I am just beginning to feel like things are settling back to normal. "Behind' is not an adequate term for my 'to-do'list but I wanted to post this picture (thanks to Robbie for taking it) before it got lost in the recesses of forgotten files. Here is my dad with all his posterity to date- 2 daughters and 9 grandchildren- 4 girls, 5 boys. Owen and Gabe are 4 1/2 months apart, David and Riley are 6 weeks apart, Kenny and Scarlett are 7 weeks apart, Ruth is all by herself, and Lincoln and Julianna are 4 weeks apart. Good times with cousins if not a little, OK a LOT, on the crazy side. More spring break posts to come.

Sliders

This slide came to us courtesy of our older single neighbor who has little use for it herself. The idea to bring it indoors- pintrest of course. (If you are a pinner you know what I'm talking about.) Its been good times for the kidos to have their very own playground equipment in the basement. Many, many things besides bodies have gone down that slide. Often they go down in conjunction with warm little bodies in fact. It's been a long winter. Snow is fun but mom can only suit up small children so many times. Especially if there's no snow, only cold. I feel a thaw coming on soon but in the mean time this is one mom who is grateful for free toys and a kind neighbor.
