Look who just turned 5! This is David the Determined. He is my squeaky wheel that usually gets the grease. My favorite things about David include:
His great hugs, he's very cuddly. Just don't squeeze too hard he says.
His excited eyes. Whenever he gets really happy his eyes grow wide with joy.
His building skills. Just put him with any small building material like blocks, beads, legos etc and he'll make it happen.
The way he plays with Ruthie. She LOVES him. He will carry her around and tickle her and get her to laugh almost at will.
His maturity. Sometimes I would forget he was just 4, he acts 6 or 7.
How he likes to share things out of the blue that he has learned. "A triangle has three corners. Five plus five is ten ..."
How we like to spend time together playing board games or cooking, just me and him.
He's great! We LOVE you DAVID!!!

Zach brought home this fantastic poster home a few weeks ago to cheer me up whenever I need a little pep up about being a mom. I like it. Actually I love it. I think it's so great because the little boy is surly and not at all happy. Apparently it is hanging in the BYU Museum of Art some where right now, and the words in the picture are Polish for cooking, dishes, and laundry. Actually it's a self portrait but the woman. Did I mention I love it? I just wanted to share with all you mom's out there, maybe brighten your day a little too.

The boys thought it would be funny to stuff their shirts full of pillows and stuffed animals and bump into each other, Sumo Wrestling style. Ruthie wanted to participate of course, so they filled her PJ's up with small animals and started calling her , "Poof Anne, and Mrs. Boofy." I think I must have pulled out 10 or 12 little creatures from her suit after I took these pictures. She just loves playing with her brothers.

I have boys- Three in fact. And if it were up to them, they would just play. ALL-DAY-LONG. It is kind of fun to watch them create or work together on something though. This is part of a huge geo-trax set Mimi gave them for Christmas that they've had fun playing with. It's best feature is that you can build different levels and it's not just a flat track.
|Sticky hands from grandpa|
Doing the fireman carry with the help of cousin Roger.
|Opps! Fell down|
And their MOST FAVORITE part of Sunday night dinners- wrestling with the older cousins.
