Last but not Least

Both of Ruth's nursery leaders have come up to me separately and told me how much they enjoy having her in nursery. One said, "she has such a mature little spirit," and the other said, "I try not to have favorites in nursery but she is one of my favorites." She's one of my favorites too. So's the big guy in the pictures with her.

Sneak Preview

Mac wanted to be a dragon for Halloween and, being the loving mother that I am, I tried to accommodate. He picked out the fabric and I made him some dragon wings with a matching tail that he will wear over an orange outfit. For the tail I found directions online but the wings I had to design myself. This is my first attempt at a costume (and maybe my last) but I'm pleased with how they turned out. Measuring Mac's arm I was surprised at how short it was, even for him, 11 inches from arm pit to wrist. His whole arm is smaller than Zach's foot. Mac's not exactly my biggest child.  When I finished the wings I was glad I wasn't making them for all of my children, which was the original plan! On to the next holiday preparations- Mac's 4th birthday. (November 6th)

Unexpected Snow Day

Last Friday we had our first official Fort Collins snow. I woke up to beautiful 4 inch white blanket surprise outside our window. The kidos loved it of course and fall/winter- fwinter? wautum? was  pretty to see. Our leaves hadn't even fallen off the trees yet. It is all melted now of course and the boys have since donned their shorts again as temperatures reach into the 60's, but it was fun while it lasted.  Happy Wautum!

(Gabe is absent from the photos because he is my only child that had school that morning unfortunately)

My Sweet David

This is my builder and creator. Probably my tallest child too when it's all said and done. He gets along great with each of his siblings and has energy to burn like any other 5 year old little boy.

Gabe the Babe

Seven and studly. I love this hard working little guy.
Quick to obey, always helpful with his siblings, and full of laughter.

Mac Stack

This is my little charmer. Sometimes I forget how cute he still is since he's no longer the youngest. He's still got plenty of cute in him though as you can see.

BOO!

A little tissue paper and string, a little Glad wrap and presto! A little bit of spook in our home.

Happy Halloween! (These weren't up for 5 minutes before Ruthie found a marker and colored on them)

Lego Bucket

Have I mentioned that I love this age?! (20 months) I think it is so cute. Ruthie just decided that the Lego bucket seemed like a good place to hang out and climbed right in. A great fit.
