Daddy Daughter Dance 2016

Ruth reports that she had a wonderful time, danced quite a bit, enjoyed the pink lemonade and is going to save her butterfly kisses ticket in her treasure box. Sounded magical.

Alara 4 Months

Alara is not a baby, she is a tiny little angel. She has been sleeping through the night for over a month now which is SO wonderful. I've never had a baby teach themselves to sleep this early before. She does all the wonderful baby things you would expect too and very little crying. She smiles and giggles, sucks on her hands, hold things like your finger, and tries to roll onto her side. Alara is so petite she feels like a doll, one with rosy cheeks and a rosy disposition to match. People hope they are getting one of these when they sign up for having a baby. She is like a gentle snowflake that floated into our home. We feel blessed to have her in our lives.

4 years of Sugar and Spice

Ruth Anne Hutchins
Four going on wonderful. She loves everything feminine and joyful. Pink and purple, dresses and sparkles, dancing and prancing. She loves to giggle, squeal, color, and play dress up. Ruth is quite adept at teaching her self new skills like buttoning buttons and zipping zippers. Just recently she started to read and, since her cast came off, begun to write. Four is a beautiful spongy age where children just soak up knowledge when it's poured on. We are lucky to have this bright penny in our home.

What better way to celebrate a January birthday than with Olaf? True to the movie, he started "melting" during the party. We sang Happy Birthday before his head could fall off.

Full House

Baby girl 3 months

This was one CRAZY weekend! Ten people in one house is nothing to sneeze at but it was lots of fun. Tanner brought his new bride out here to Fort Collins since we missed the wedding in October. The children just ate them both up. We needed a copy machine so that there could be more cousin to go around. Movies, games, parties, food, wrestling- we squeezed a lot into a few days. They even made it down to the Denver temple to do sealings one day. It was a blessing to have them come visit us. Hopefully we will be making a trip out to Utah in the not- too- distant future to see them again.

This is the borrow-a-baby program were you can come to our house and there is always a baby around for you to test drive. Little do they know, not all babies are this sweet and wonderful. Shhhh! Don't tell them. Of all the children though, Lincoln may have been the one they wanted to take home with them. Two is a darn cute age.

Tanner was very obliging for this picture and jumped multiple times. Unfortunately my camera was not so obliging

Alara 2 months and all smiles

At her two month check up:
Weight 10.0 lb- 5%
23 inches long- 50%

This is a wonderful little baby to have around. She likes to coo and smile at you and we often have little baby "conversations" with her. Alara's delicate features contrast with my last chubby cherub and she is a light weight compared to my other children at two months who were all at least 12 lb. She is less of a "chunkin" and more of a flower petal. She will even sleep for 6 hours at a time which I consider a success at 2 months. The only sad thing about her is that we haven't been able to share her with more of our loved ones because we know you would enjoy having her around as much as we do.

Thanksgiving Visitors

Here are my real Thanksgiving turkeys enjoying a 5 hour long game (!) of monopoly with Dad/Uncle Zach. I believe Scarlett came off victorious with the help of the FUncle Zach.

Warning! Warning! Holding a cute, snugly, sleeping baby may make you drowsy. Grandpa enjoyed a lot of Alara time while on his visit to Colorado.

The children also had a fun time playing in the snow, building forts, eating lots of food, going to the children's museum and just being kids. Holidays are always happier with visitors.

November Birthday Boys

Mimi's knitting needles hard at work again! Is it a sheep? A llama? A shllama? We don't know, but it sure is cute.

Mac's Lego part complete with a Lego cake, games, and door decorations. Not to mention the 16 or so children, craziest of which were my children of course. We ate pizza, opened lots of Lego themed gifts and lets just say when the parents all came on time to pick up their children, I was grateful.

You knew he was getting these things at some point, right?

Lincoln doesn't really like cake so I thought I would try something he might enjoy little better. The doughnut tower was a big hit.

Love my November Birthday buddies.
