Zach and I drive a 1996 Honda Accord. Its sandy colored with pealing paint. We have fondly called her Ethel because names like "Speedy" and "Lightning" just seemed inappropriate. Last week our car hit the 200,000 mile mark. We've prayed it would last through graduate school. So far, so good. Zach was prepared for the momentus event and pulled over to take a picture of our speedometer when it happened. Way to go Ethel! We're so proud.

ReplyDeleteI don't have a name for my car, but it is a 1998 Camry with 183,500 plus on it. Guess I'll have to have my camera with me when it hits the 200,000 mark--just 16,500 more to go! Hope it continues to be a good car for you.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff... Joy and I still own the first car we bought... a 1991 Honda Accord and it is nearing the 150,000 mark. I have no plans on parting with this treasure :) I love cars that are paid off and in the clear.
