Butterfly kisses dance

Zach with two of his best girls at the daddy-daughter butterfly dance. This was Alara's first time going now that she is a "big girl" and can go potty. ALARA told Zach, "Daddy, you are a great dancer!" Melt his heart. This is Zach and Ruth's 4th year going together. She likes the snacks best. My two girls are two sides of my personality- eating and dancing!

Seven months

Technically Rockwell is eight months now, but these pictures were taken a month ago at seven months. You can still see a bit of the rash that he has been dealing with in these pictures. Three trips to the pediatritian, one to a dermatologist, creams, antibiotics, ointments etc. and it is finally almost gone, poor thing.
Rockwell was army crawled around the house from 6-8 months but has now decided that hands and knees are more effective and is using a true crawling motion. He likes to pull up on furniture, climb up and down stairs and use his mouth as a third hand to give himself a boost. He is cheery, loves to eat, turns when you say his name, and has begun to show readiness for baby signs by waving and mimicking the sign for "all done". He is probably old enough that he should go to sleep on his own but he is such a dream to rock to sleep that we still hold him whenever he needs to be put to bed.  In a house full of cute things, he has the spotlight.

Game night

Zach is a lover of good board games so it would be unusual for Christmas to pass without acquiring a new game or two. This Christmas it was a cooperative children's game called Rat Moles in Space where you either all get on the ship and launch or no one wins. Mac also received a game called Chickapig, complete with tiny piles of poop. Any game with poop is probably going to be a winner.

Fire pit

I thought Lincoln helping Rockwell watch from the inside couch was too cute not to capture.

A splendid Christmas gift that has a double purpose for having fun and cleaning up the scrap wood in our yard/house. Here's to Friday night fires!

Scripture time

The new Come Follow Me program has been a great blessing in our family scripture study. There has been more discussion, less complaining, and more interaction than ever before. Hopefully this will translate into a deeper understanding of the scriptures and recieving personal promptings from the Holy Ghost.

Even Alana loves to run and get her scriptures so she can "read" with the older children. Hooray for Scripture time!

Sunbeam

Someone is in Primary now. Watch out sunbeams, here comes a tiny person with big emotions. My little lemon drop is 90% sweet and 10% sass. Her fly-by hugs and fluttering giggles still melt my heart.  I'm excited for her.

Sweaters

A gift from Mimi that has literally been sitting under my bed since January 2018, waiting almost an entire year for its debut. She planned ahead for growth and got most of the sizes spot on.

Playing over Winter break

Children have a lot of energy. Mine especially. To burn off some that excess energy over Christmas break I took the kids down to the stake center to test out their new wheels on the smooth floor. The two long boards were a hit with all of the children.
