Hop'n Down the Bunny Trail

For the first time that I can remember, we attended the City Easter Egg hunt the day before Easter. I was in charge of staying with the littles since the hunting was divided up into age groups and Zach with with the older two. Of course I had the camera so this is who showed up in the pictures. Let's be honest, the younger you are the cutter anyway. Ruthie knew just what to do too. When they gave the sign to begin the hunt she ran to grab as many eggs as her little hands could hold. Mac, of course, is an old pro at this, having done it twice already.

Soccer Boy #2

This is our first soccer season with David who just turned 5 in February. He is on the under 6 team and is admittedly not the star, but he sure looks like he's having fun trying. It's his first ever experience with the game and I love to watch his enthusiasm. (At the start of the season we asked Gabe if he liked soccer and Gabe's response was, "I like the treats afterwards", so we didn't sign him up again. If he had wanted to, he would be playing soccer too. ) Poor children have had a rough start to the season with unseasonably cold weather, wind and even some snow. David's been tough about it though and not complained. GO #44!

Peek-a-boo

During Sunday School in church we sit in the chapel and Ruthie wanders around up and down off the stand. When she is up there, her head is just about at the level of the wooden railing so all I can see is her little sprout of a pony tail bobbing back and forth. I can usually hear her as well, but I think it's so cute. Once in a while she will stop and pull her self up to peek over the railing and I'll wave to her and she will giggle and go back to exploring. It is probably a distraction to the rest of the people in Sunday School, but at least she isn't crying right?

Easter Family Picture

I just wanted to get a shot before church, courtesy of a fellow walker. That was definitely a walking Sunday, it was beautiful. (Although today it 30 and windy with snow flurries!)
Oh little family, I love you.

Lego Babies

Add caption
This is my two little ones peacefully playing Lego's together while the other two are at school.  Mac and Ruth's bums are small  enough that they can fit on the same chair if they don't push.(Which is a 50/50 event) All four of my children are in love with these little plastic blocks, as millions of other children are as well, but what surprised me is how much Ruthie has taken to them. She has played BY HERSELF with Lego's for a solid HOUR before. She can't even put pieces together. She will pull them out and put them back in the bucket, zoom around the cars that are already made, and just generally inspect her brother's creations. I tried to take her off the chair on that particular occasion and she was mad so I just put her back down and she kept playing. I knew she had to be the best baby in the world. Her older brothers aren't far behind.

Armor of God

Ephesians 6:11-17

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Family Home Evening we had to help the boys understand putting on the whole armor of God. They are fending off the 'fiery darts of the adversary' with their shield of faith
